Our Mission
Improve the lives of those in need, both at home and abroad.
History
The Rivard Foundation was established in 2012 by our founder, John C. Rivard, MD. Dr. Rivard is a practicing anesthesiologist who participates in international medical missions to India, Kenya, Romania, Russia, Thailand, Vietnam, Bolivia, Brazil, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Ethiopia, providing anesthesia for cleft lip, cleft palate, and other surgeries for children in these countries. Dr. Rivard formed the Rivard Foundation with the intention of establishing a permanent entity focused on giving financial support to charitable organizations he has vetted as competently and efficiently providing services in support of the Mission.
Operations
The Rivard Foundation meets annually to disburse donations to organizations that meet the criteria of the Board for responsible donation allocation and verified mission effectiveness. We have been in existence since 2012, and our current assets originated mainly from board member contributions, as well as outside donors.
